Hard Pass On Social Media

Socials

Sharing on social media sucks for photographers. Or coders. A tiny square? Nope. I don't like any of them, so I decided to make my own. Now I can post all the photographs I want, in any resolution, and in any size I want. I can also share code, make interactive posts that actually use code, or, well, anything I want because it's my site. This site is really just for me to log events, stories, coding tricks, or to simply log things I've learned. I own it. Not Zuck. I still have social media's. But solely for reviewing links sent to me. Keep those comin' friends.

Who really wants to doom scroll forever? I personally do not care about likes, comments, etc. on social media. I'd rather write meaningful stories that I personally care about and leave it at that.
A gilded cage, with phantom bars,
Where painted smiles conceal the scars.
A mirrored hall, reflecting lies,
And hollow echoes of staged cries.

The scrolling feast, a hungry ghost,
Consuming moments, dearly lost.
Each filtered scene, a whispered plea,
"Observe my joy, and envy me."

A woven web of fragile thread,
Where silent judgments fill the head.
The constant hum, a droning drone,
A vacant throne, where thoughts have flown.

The fleeting likes, a brittle prize,
Reflected coldly in dead eyes.
A digital shroud, a silken chain,
Where true connection dies in vain.
